inauguración de una supuesta escuela de arqueología en el complejo arqueológico
monumental de Cochasqui bajo la figura de un dudoso intercambio cultural.
(Actualmente en el Ecuador en universidades como: Espol, Católica y San Francisco
de Quito existe la especialidad de arqueología).<o:p></o:p></span></div>

curso de verano para estudiantes con un costo de $4.650,00 dólares con el
nombre de “Proyecto Arqueológico Cochasquí Mojanda”. (¿Los dineros recaudados
por este concepto por el <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">IFR</b>,
generan algún beneficio para la Comuna de Cochasqui o para el Parque
Arqueológico?).<o:p></o:p></span></div>

figura de intercambio cultural permitirían las autoridades de los Estados Unidos
de Norteamérica realizar este tipo de prácticas arqueológicas en sitios
patrimoniales y vinculados históricamente con sus pobladores originarios, a
jóvenes estudiantes ecuatorianos?.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

otras cosas que “sorprendentemente se sabe poco sobre el sitio o sus
ocupantes. No obstante, el sitio ocupa un estado venerado en la narrativa
nacional. Incluso hoy, Cochasquí sirve como símbolo de la legitimidad y el
poder nacional ecuatoriano con funcionarios recién elegidos que simbólicamente
le otorgan el manto de su cargo en una ceremonia realizada sobre una de las
pirámides”…¿un manto?...parece que quienes no saben incluso de la historia
reciente son ellos…la ceremonia que se realiza en las pirámides es la entrega
de un bastón espiritual que legitima su cargo ante los Pueblos y Nacionalidades
del Ecuador, esas ligerezas por decir lo mínimo restan credibilidad a la supuesta
intervención científica que dicen venir desarrollando en el sitio arqueológico.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

del sitio?”, y afirman que ellos están ahí para cambiar esto, una clara
posición injerencista y neocolonialista que ignora y desprecia todo lo
anteriormente realizado por expertos nacionales e internacionales sobre el tema
en Cochasqui, existen estudios e investigaciones en las cuales se responden

Patrimonio Natural de la Humanidad para ser utilizada como base militar
norteamericana, hoy se les entrega Cochasqui Patrimonio Cultural Arqueológico
del Ecuador para campo de entrenamiento de estudiantes novatos. En el primer
caso, que más podíamos esperar de un gobierno entreguista y al servicio del
imperialismo yanqui, pero en el segundo caso mantengo la esperanza de que la
actual Prefecta Paola Pabón mujer comprometida con los procesos de justicia
social y anticolonialismo revise a fondo lo que actualmente sucede con el
Parque Arqueológico Cochasquí antes de que sea demasiado tarde y la afectación y
perdida tanto de nuestro patrimonio como de nuestra soberanía sean irremediables.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Social. Es menester que se<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>reconozca a
Cochasqui como escenario del Primer proyecto de Recuperación con la Visión de
la Arqueología Social en Sur América, liderado en su época por el
ecuatorianista Lenin Ortiz Arciniegas, así como la reingeniería integral del

pública o privada puede realizar en el Ecuador trabajos de excavación
arqueológica o paleontológica, sin autorización escrita del Instituto de
Patrimonio Cultural. La Fuerza Pública y las autoridades aduaneras harán
respetar las disposiciones que se dicten en relación a estos trabajos. El
incumplimiento de este artículo será sancionado con prisión de hasta dos años,
el decomiso de los objetos extraídos, de los vehículos e implementos utilizados
para tal fin y con las multas legales.<br />

Art. 29. El Instituto de Patrimonio Cultural sólo podrá conceder el
permiso a que se refiere el artículo precedente a las personas o instituciones
que a su juicio reúnan las condiciones necesarias para hacerlo técnica y debidamente,
y siempre que lo crea oportuno deberá vigilar por medio de las personas que
designe sobre el curso de las excavaciones, de acuerdo con los reglamentos que
se expidieren al respecto.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

con el dictamen favorable del Instituto y los resultados de tales

Fiestas de San Pedro en Tabacundo, las mismas que son consideradas Patrimonio

presencia de las diversas parroquias y comunas del cantón Pedro Moncayo, así
como de turistas nacionales y extranjeros que disfrutaron de baile, música y

En la provincia del Pichincha en el cantón Pedro Moncayo (Tabacundo) en la Parroquia de Tocachi, Comuna de Cochasqui, se encuentra el Complejo Arqueológico Monumental de las Pirámides de Cochasquí, a una hora de Quito.<br />

Es uno de los sitios arqueológicos más importantes del Ecuador, algunos investigadores han denominado como parte del País Caranqui, por su alto grado de cohesión cultural y desarrollo civilizatorio, esta cultura precolombina ocupo los territorios de la Sierra Centro Norte, desde el río Guyllabamba al sur hasta las márgenes del río Chota al norte, conformando parte del mismo los poderosos Señoríos Étnicos de los Caranquis, Cayambis, Cochasquis, Imbayas, floreció en esta región mucho antes del contacto incásico, del 850 d.C. al 1550 d.C.<br />
<br />
El conjunto arqueológico ocupa una micro área arqueológica de 83, 9 hectáreas y está conformado por 15 pirámides cuadrangulares con y sin rampa y 21 montículos funerarios o tolas circulares.
Este sitio está considerado como un importante centro de poder espiritual, por lo cual Pueblos y Nacionalidades del Ecuador lo han identificado como parte de su Geografía Sagrada, desde inicio del año de 1992 cuando los movimientos indios empiezan una lucha por el reconocimiento de sus prácticas y conocimientos ancestrales.<br />
<br />
Al lugar acuden diversos exponentes del chamanismo a realizar sus prácticas de limpias, florecimientos, curaciones y baños, en fechas vinculadas a los solsticios y equinoccios, en festividades vinculadas a un calendario agrícola autóctono.<br />
<br />
Y es así que en ese largo camino de búsqueda de nuestras verdaderas raíces y en reivindicación con nuestra Milenaria Memoria comencé un recorrido por nuestros interiores y orígenes primordiales de la mano de Taitas y Mamas Yachak Cuna, curanderos y curanderas, herederos y trasmisores de la sabiduría Andina y Amazónica primigenia, en estas las tierras de la Mitad del Mundo.<br />
<br />
En las fechas antes mencionadas existe una gran afluencia turística nacional y extranjera a las Pirámides de Cochasquí para integrarse activamente a los diferentes rituales vinculados al Inti o Padre Sol y la Pacha Mama o Madre Tierra, es una ocasión de fiesta y celebración y también el momento propicio para limpias, florecimientos, baños y demás prácticas que son parte de un Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial que poco a poco se va valorizando.<br />

La Corporación para la Promoción Cultural y Turística, “PROCULTUR”, mantiene en la zona el Proyecto de la Reserva Patrimonial Quilago en un Bosque de 12 hectáreas, donde se investiga, apoya, promociona y difunde todas aquellas actividades vinculadas al patrimonio cultural milenario de los Pueblos y Nacionalidades del Ecuador.<br />

Antonio de Ibarra, el año 1898. Sus padres fueron Federico Mideros, comerciante
y agricultor y la dama ibarreña Carmen Almeida. Luis Mideros forma parte
de una generación de artistas, pues sus hermanos Víctor, maestro de la pintura
nacional, Fray Enrique, destacado pintor y Jorge, arquitecto y pintor, han dado
lustre al arte nacional. Su infancia
es tranquila y feliz en San Antonio de Ibarra, donde en su escuela, ya dio
muestras de los grandes dones que tenía para el dibujo y el tallado de la
madera.</span></div>

Indian Museum, museo del Instituto Rockefeller, un busto del
Presidente de los Estados Unidos Abraham Lincoln se conserva en el museo del
Instituto Rockefeller.</span></div>

talento, Luis Mideros era un artista con una gran capacidad de trabajo y
elabora numerosas obras de gran calidad artística, en bronce y en mármol.</span></div>

su retorno es el acoso que empezó a sufrir de la organización racista Klu Klux

negó pues deseaba en algún momento retornar al Ecuador.</span></div>

el primer premio en el clásico concurso de arte "Mariano Aguilera".
En ese entonces se decía que este premio estaba monopolizado por los hermanos
Mideros, pues Víctor Mideros lo ganó siete veces, Luis y Jorge Mideros lo
ganaron una vez cada uno.</span></div>

taller en una propiedad agrícola que compra en las afueras de Quito, llamada
"La Magdalena", en un gran
galpón tenía un gran horno de fundición del bronce y todos los elementos
necesarios para su trabajo. Día a día acudía a este taller a los ocho de la
mañana y trabajaba concentrado en sus obras, hasta las cuatro de la tarde.</span></div>

monumental relieve que adorna dos fachadas del Palacio Legislativo del Congreso
de esa época, con figuras que evocan la historia del Ecuador desde el asesinato
de Atahualpa hasta el siglo XX.<br />
Estos dos relieves cubren los dos frentes del Palacio Legislativo, y fueron
encargados al gran escultor durante la reconstrucción del Palacio Legislativo
que realizó el Presidente Camilo Ponce, en 1958, es autor también de los frisos que adornan el arco de la Circaciana que actualmente se encuentra en el parque Ejido.</span></div>

con el sacerdote español Juan Epelde, párroco de Puerto Bolívar durante muchos

tarde, se trasladó a Checoslovaquia donde estudió grabado en la UMPRUM, Alta
Escuela de Artes Aplicadas de Praga, en 1959. Ese mismo año, fue becado por el
Ministerio de Cultura de ese país.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Europa, donde conoció a grandes artistas, poetas y directores de cine. Luego de
una estadía en Nueva York entre 1964 y 1965, regresó a Chile, donde desarrolló
una muestra de dibujos creados en Estados Unidos, los cuales han sido considerados
como el inicio de su incursión en la estética Pop. También dibujó portadas para
la revista Ercilla y durante la campaña electoral de 1970 se comprometió
activamente con la campaña presidencial de Salvador Allende (1908-1973). En
este contexto, también organizó diversas exposiciones como por ejemplo <i>El
pueblo tiene arte con Allende</i>, que se realizó simultáneamente en diferentes
lugares de Chile.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

servicios de inteligencia de la dictadura militar, siendo arrestado y
torturado. En 1975, tras ser liberado, realizó la exposición <i>Exculpturas-printuras</i>,
la cual fue clausurada a pocas horas de su inauguración. El artista fue
detenido nuevamente y expulsado del país. Debió partir al exilio a Francia,
donde residió durante 12 años y desarrolló varias exhibiciones e intervenciones
que se extendieron a diferentes países europeos. En la década de 1980 se
autorizó su regreso a Chile y en 1987 volvió de forma permanente.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

con temáticas que remiten a acontecimientos históricos, guerras, disputas y
experiencias personales, que muestran y denuncian la violencia y destrucción
